46th Annual New Jersey Young Filmmakers - Festival of Short Films 2020

The NJ Young Filmmakers’ Festival seeks short films and videos from students with a home base in New Jersey. NJYFF is an open-genre festival accepting films in all categories including:

Filmmakers attending middle school, high school, college, and/or independent directors from age 12 through 29 may enter. Filmmakers must either reside in or attend school in NJ.

Middle School: Total running time for films must be 5 min. or less.

High School: Total running time for films must be 10 min. or less.

College/Independent: Total running time for films must be 15 min. or less.

Opening Date for Submissions - Friday, February 14th, 2020.

Entry Fee - $15. This fee is solely to cover costs.

DEADLINE EXTENDED to Upload Submissions - Tuesday, June 30th, 2020.

Jury for student films + Logo Design - Wednesday July 1st thru Monday July 6th, 2020.

Awards Notification for Filmmakers + Logo Design - Tuesday July 7th, 2020.

NJYFF Festival Premiere - A new tentative date for the festival premiere, reception, and awards ceremony at the Thomas Edison National Historical Park in West Orange, NJ, has been reserved for Saturday, July 25th at 6pm. If it becomes impossible to present our annual festival premiere as a live, in-person event, we will hold a virtual festival premiere event on July 25th, followed by a live screening of the award-winning films in the fall.

Submission Guidelines:
Films must be entered and uploaded directly on FilmFreeway’s NJ Young Filmmakers’ Festival page. A $15 entry fee is required for each film submitted, payable on the FilmFreeway website. Submission deadline is TUESDAY JUNE 30th, 2020.
